Terms of Use
Effective Date: August 23, 2026
Welcome to the website of Open Hearth Counseling (“Open Hearth Counseling,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website.
Informational Purposes Only
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to provide medical, mental health, legal, or other professional advice. Information about services, availability, fees, and other practice matters may change from time to time.
No Therapist-Client Relationship
Your use of this website, submission of an interest form, email communication, or other contact with Open Hearth Counseling through this website does not create a therapist-client relationship.
A therapist-client relationship is established only after appropriate intake, consent, and administrative procedures have been completed and Open Hearth Counseling has agreed to provide services.
Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
This website is not monitored for emergencies and should not be used for urgent or crisis situations.
If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, are in immediate danger, or may harm yourself or someone else, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Interest List and Email Communications
If you submit your email address through this website, you may receive communications about Open Hearth Counseling, including updates about when the practice begins accepting clients.
Joining the interest list does not guarantee availability, priority scheduling, or acceptance as a client.
You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us directly. For commercial emails, the FTC identifies opt-out rights as part of CAN-SPAM compliance.
Text Messaging Terms
Open Hearth Counseling offers SMS text messaging for low-volume, person-to-person administrative communications with prospective and existing clients. Messages may include responses to inquiries, scheduling, appointment coordination, appointment changes, and other general practice-related administrative communications.
Consumers may opt in to SMS communications verbally during an in-person or telephone conversation with an Open Hearth Counseling therapist or representative. The consumer provides a mobile telephone number and expressly agrees to receive SMS messages from Open Hearth Counseling. SMS consent is voluntary, is requested separately from other consents, and is not a condition of receiving services.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
For assistance, reply HELP or contact Open Hearth Counseling at [email protected] or (407) 558-2872.
To stop receiving messages from an Open Hearth Counseling number, reply STOP. After opting out, you will receive confirmation that no further messages will be sent from that number. You may reply START to resume messages where permitted.
SMS communications are intended for administrative purposes and should not be used for emergencies, crisis situations, or detailed clinical communications.
Mobile opt-in information and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
For additional information regarding how Open Hearth Counseling collects, uses, and protects information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Do Not Submit Sensitive Information
Please do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal health information through general website forms, email, or SMS unless Open Hearth Counseling specifically instructs you to use a communication method for that purpose.
General email, website forms, and standard SMS text messaging may not be appropriate methods for transmitting confidential health information.
