BEFORE HEALING COMES WELCOME

How we'll work together.

People often ask me what kind of therapy I practice.

The answer is that, while I draw from several evidence-based approaches, I don't begin with a technique, I begin with a relationship.

Over time, I've come to describe the way I hope people experience therapy as Therapeutic Hospitality.

It isn't a therapy model or a specific technique. Rather, it's the philosophy that guides how I strive to be with every person who entrusts me with their story.

At the heart of that philosophy is a simple belief:

Healing begins when people experience genuine welcome.

To me, welcome means more than kindness. It means creating a space where you don't have to perform, defend yourself, or hide the parts of your life that feel difficult to talk about.

My work is grounded in an Existential-Humanistic philosophy and informed by Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

People make sense.
Our emotions make sense.
Our relationships make sense.
Even the ways we've learned to protect ourselves usually make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them.

We'll move at a pace that feels respectful to you.
We'll listen before we interpret.
We'll become curious before we become corrective.
We'll seek understanding before we seek change.

I don't believe therapy is something a therapist does to a client.

I believe healing grows within a relationship built on respect, curiosity, honesty, and trust.

My role is to walk beside you as we discover the strengths, wisdom, and capacity for healing that already exist within you.

Because before change comes belonging.
Before insight comes safety.
Before healing comes welcome.

Every part deserves a place at the fire.

WHEN YOU'RE READY

Every journey begins with a single conversation.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like one of the hardest parts of the process.

You don't need to have the right words.
You don't need a perfect explanation.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of therapy you need.

Our first conversation is about getting to know one another and deciding whether we're a good fit.

We'll build a relationship grounded in safety, curiosity, collaboration, and respect.

Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, questions of identity, caregiving, military experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to be living, you don't have to face it alone.

When you're ready, I'd be honored to meet you.

Your story is welcome here.

I'll save you a seat.
